I am a passionate and empathetic artist, who has always been fascinated by the way people speak and thinks every single accent is beautiful. As a dual citizen of Australia and the US with a funky in-between accent myself, I was confronted at an early age with the everyday biases and judgments folks have towards accents outside of their scope. Entering professional dialect and accent work has helped me embrace my own voice, growing in my confidence and sense of self.

I started this work in 2022, when the inimitable Keely Wolter (premier dialect coach of the Twin Cities, and Resident Vocal Coach at Guthrie Theater) took me under her wing, guiding me through my beginnings as a professional dialect coach. I then studied with Knight Thompson Speechwork in 2023, developing and honing my accent coaching ethos, steeped in the KTS pedagogy. Like KTS, my coaching is Descriptive rather than Prescriptive, researching how people actually speak, not how society stereotypically assumes they do. I strive to coach fully embodied accents that are intelligible to an audience without losing authenticity.
